A new report released by Alliance of Californians for Community Empowerment and the Alliance for a Just Society will show that the decisions of California lawmakers have cost their constituents jobs during the Great Recession. The report uses a linear regression analysis to compare expenditure and unemployment data in California.
With the release of the Governor's budget last week, Californians are facing the prospect of another year of disinvestment of health, education and vital services without raising the adequate revenue that our state needs to move past the economic crisis.
The report looks at the impact of budget cuts to the unemployment rate in California, and makes recommendations that will help to build a prosperous future for all California families.
